out of the office

Friday, March 5th, 2010

I’ll be in Vegas attending a photography conference from Saturday to Thursday. I will try to respond back to inquiries while I am there, but it may take a bit longer. There will be lots of photos to share when I get back!

Don’t forget to vote for your favorite nursery. March 10th is the deadline. The winner will be announced March 15th.

I’m leaving you with one last photo of Mr. Owen. Those lips and cheeks kill me – so plump!

baby owen | princeton newborn photographer

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Meet Owen at 10 days old! His parents are friends of ours and fellow seminarians (see photos from the baby shower here – as you can see I was pulling for a girl but I am so thrilled it’s a boy!). They are moving in a few short months while Lucas starts a PhD program in Missouri. I’m sure going to miss them and their sweet, cuddling, well-behaved and well-mannered son. Shannon + Lucas enjoy your little peek!

Owen loves having his hands by his face – so it was easy to “pose” him!

Watch out! Owen’s parents spent several years in Vancouver before moving to Princeton. We had to take a photo in his Canadian hat in honor of them winning the most gold medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics!

This blanket is pretty special because his momma made it for him! He repaid her by peeing on it. Such is life when you get a newborn who just feed naked on a blanket!

five on friday | princeton newborn photographer

Friday, February 26th, 2010

1. Have you entered the nursery contest yet? The deadline is Sunday at midnight. Get to submitting those photos! Voting opens very soon!!

2. It’s been snowing again here in Jersey, like the rest of the country. The other night I hit the biggest pot hole of my life, ended up bending the rim of my tire. That cost me a pretty penny to fix. I think I’m ready for spring now. This past week it got warm and melted most of the snow from two weeks ago and I was enjoying that. Back to snow boots and snow gear for the time being.

3. Have you been watching the Olympics? We’ve had it on nightly, I’m obsessed! I will be sad when its finally over. I know a lot of people don’t dig their shows not being on, but it’s fun to see incredible athletes compete. I mean, aerial jumping? That is some intense stuff!

4. A fellow photographer Amy posted this great article on choosing your photographer. It points out the difference between a decent photo and a great photo plus the errors. It’s definitely worth venturing over to read.

5. To end it off is one more photo of baby elena!

social media club | princeton event photographer

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Social Media Club Princeton gathered this past Wednesday for the monthly meeting to hear Matthew Ebel speak on how he has used social media to build his music career as well as perform some of his songs.

We met at the incredible EFK Group. I loved the entrance with the textured wall paper, the matching chandeliers, the buddha, and the pebble floor.

Yummy food from Rojo Loco and VMeals.

baby elena | princeton newborn photographer

Ms. Elena Sophia is possibly the most even-tempered, sweetest, cuddlest baby I’ve ever been around. I’m pretty sure she gets that from her gorgeous, calm momma. There is nothing sweeter than holding a week old baby.

I attended Amy’s baby shower back in October and she received some of the cutest hats from AngelBeez. We tried to incorporate them into the photo shoot and here is one example.

Her beautiful nursery that has Spanish accents throughout.

Daddy and his little girl

Congratulations Amy & Julio!
