As many know Nashville was our home for three years before we moved to NJ. This past weekend Nashville and the surrounding areas were hit by flash floods. Unfortunately the disaster in the Gulf Coast and the Time Square bombing have received all the media’s attention. Many people are just now hearing about the floods and the devastation that hit Middle Tennessee.

Here is a video an old co-worker of mine put together from the first two days of the flood. Also please view these photos of the devastation taken by AP photographers and the like.

Tide Loads for Hope trucks are coming to Nashville on Wednesday, May 12. The Tide staff will literally wash, dry, and fold clothes for our neighbors who need it. Please contact Tide at 800-879-8433 (press 0 for operator) and let them know Nashville needs Loads of Hope. The more calls they receive the bigger priority we become. I love seeing my clients grow and this gorgeous family is no different. Looking back at their family session last September blows me away. The girls are SO young (and they weren’t too mobile at the time either!). Anna and Margaret have changed even since June when we did their two year session. Thanks again Katie & Joey for letting me crash at your home!

At 5 1/2 weeks, Lucas was an angel for me. It could be that he was up all night and just plain worn out by the time I arrived, but no matter what, we got some awesome photos of this miracle baby (they used Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture/herbs/diet changes) to overcome the infertility from PCOS and it worked!!). His beautiful momma is quite the crafty woman, knitting the hat and cocoon in the following photos. You can see some of her nursery items for sale in her etsy store.

Anthony & I are on our way back to the great state of Oklahoma today. We are both ready to see family, as its been since Christmas. Looks like its going to be HOT in the 90s the entire time.

I am currently in Nashville for the weekend visiting friends and taking these sweet girls 2 year pictures. You’ve seen them on this blog a few times since I started my business here, One Year Session, and here. We got up early this morning and headed to the Nashville Zoo. There’s an older part with a home, barn, garden and more. It was the perfect location to allow two very active 2 year olds to run around. I convinced my mom to make a few pettiskirts for this session specifically and the girls had a good time in them. I made a detour to Hobby Lobby yesterday and found parasols that were perfect. The girls loved them!
