anna & margaret 2 years | nashville multiple photographer

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

I am currently in Nashville for the weekend visiting friends and taking these sweet girls 2 year pictures. You’ve seen them on this blog a few times since I started my business here, One Year Session, and here. We got up early this morning and headed to the Nashville Zoo. There’s an older part with a home, barn, garden and more. It was the perfect location to allow two very active 2 year olds to run around. I convinced my mom to make a few pettiskirts for this session specifically and the girls had a good time in them. I made a detour to Hobby Lobby yesterday and found parasols that were perfect. The girls loved them!

Anna is on the left, Margaret on the left in both photos.

I met up with sweet Julia and her mother Thursday morning on campus at Princeton University. They came with lots of clothing options; I think we had 5 different dress changes. I loved all the bright colors – perfect for the spring time! Towards the end of the session, we found a covered walkway that was like a tunnel. Julia had the best time yelling and hearing her echo. Love the joy from something so simple. Loved our session Katie – hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Every time I look at this first image, my breath is taken from me. Her eyes have such a story to tell (and this is straight out of the camera!)

She’s got the stance and hand placement of a ballet dancer – maybe in the future??

bike | princeton photographer

Friday, May 15th, 2009

This week I was walking around PTS campus and I saw this fun “old” bike (I put quotes around that because I’m pretty sure it was a new bike) so I had to grab a photo of it. I ran a vintage action over the images – its different than I normally do but I figured the bike needed it. I’m also displaying my new logo! What do you think?

If you’re the praying kind, will you say a prayer for Anthony around 10am EST today? He is taking a French language exam that all PhD students are required to take (they need to certain languages for their fields; Anthony has German & French). He’s super nervous because he hasn’t taken a French class. He’s just been studying his booty off with vocab/verbs/etc. on his own. Thank you!

old city | philadelphia

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Several weekends ago I met up with Amy Ro and Michele in Old City of Philadelphia (the historical part). It was great to catch up and play around with my 135mm lens (all images taken with the 135 – I’m in love!)

I have no idea how I got this image! He was moving so fast (as toddlers do!) and making the sound of an elephant.

Mr. N LOVES to sing. That is what he is doing right here.

Amy’s sister was in town from DC. I was able to snag a few of her in her beautiful scarf!

Photographer Meet-Up

Monday, November 10th, 2008

A few weekends ago I met up with Sandra and her family as well as Michele and her husband. They both are photographers in Pennsylvania and wanted some photos for their holiday cards. I really wanted to do photos as well but its hard to drag Anthony when he is working so hard on all his papers (he has been reading about 1,000 pages a week for the past few weeks – I guess that’s what happens when you are working on your PhD right?) We met up in the cutest, funky towns I’ve ever seen, New Hope, PA. It was a rather chilly morning, but I’m glad to finally meet others in the area. Thank you both for sticking it out in that weather.

Since this was the day after Halloween, Sandra came loaded with Tootsie Rolls to bribe Cam and they sure did work. Check out those eyes (and the fact that his mouth is closed – he had one in his mouth!)

Harrison Family – Princeton, NJ

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

The Harrison family came braving the blistering windy weather yesterday afternoon. Of all the times for it to cool off, its the day of our shoot. Go figure! These little girls are so full of life and energy. They gave me a run for my money! Thanks Harrison’s for braving the cold. Have fun on your vacation.
