I didn’t take any photos at the ceremony or reception. I wanted to have a good time and allow the professionals they hired get the photos. So there are lots of family photos during the cocktail hour. The weather pretty much the entire week was gloomy, lots of overcast-ness and rainy more than the normal afternoon showers. Thankfully the rain held off for the outdoor cocktail hour which allowed us to get some nice photos of the extended family.

The nightly photo! Earlier that morning we hit an outlet mall and found this dress for $40. Felt it was perfect compliment to Anthony’s attire. And finally got a photo of the girls!

florida pre-wedding festivities

Anthony and I arrived back in Princeton late Monday afternoon (after stopping at IKEA and Tony Luke’s in Philly) from Florida. Wow is it hot here! I was definitely not expecting to come back to 100 degree temperatures. We also came home to zero internet in our apartment. Unfortunately we are the mercy of the seminary as they provide it for us. They are about to start work on the new apartments and this work is necessary (so they say). They say that it can be up to 10 business days before we get it back. Please let’s hope it doesn’t take that long!!! Lots of photos in this post. Stop by tomorrow as I’ll have more photos from the wedding day and the day after.

Our first full day in Naples, we had dinner over at my aunt + uncle’s place. Uncle Pete was grilled, everything under control (as seen in the first photo!). Everyone abandons the grill for a few minutes, I look over to see the flames (as seen in the second photo while my father goes inside for who knows what!) The chicken that was on the grill was very crisp – gave a whole new meaning to charbroiled!

We attended the bridesmaid luncheon thrown by Allison’s aunt at the Sea Salt Restaurant. Here is my mom, aunt, cousin and other aunt.

The rehearsal dinner was at the beautiful Ridgway Bar & Grill in downtown Naples. Perfect setting to honor the beautiful couple.

My father is quite the ladies man. He loves taking photos with beautiful woman! Mother of the Bride Mary and my father!

I handed my camera over to my 11 year old cousin and she snapped this photo. Not too shabby.

My goal this year has been to get some decent photos of Anthony and I together. We will be getting some professional photos taken later this year, but I’m taking advantage of the people around to grab photos of us while down here in Florida. I’m really liking this photo after spending the day at the beach.

I spent Tuesday morning at Wild Child Yoga hanging out with some fabulous moms and dads who were practicing yoga with their babies. Wild Child Yoga recently opened in the Princeton Shopping Center off Harrison Street and is offering yoga to new moms, toddlers, children, and prenatal/postnatal women. Visit their website for details on classes, pricing, and instructors. Justine and her entire staff are very knowledgeable about the practice of yoga and will guide you and your children along the way.

I had such a great time at this family session last week. The weather couldn’t have been better and look at these gorgeous people! Mr. J wasn’t a huge fan of the grass on his feet – a different texture that he wasn’t so sure about. Mike and Sonja enjoy your little sneak peek!

The minute I walked into this family’s home, I could feel the excitement and apprehension about getting photos taken. Soft soulful music was playing throughout the house while everyone was putting the finishes touches on their outfits. The minute I saw the girls’ outfits I was tickled. They were full of color (hello bright pink, blue, brown, mutlicolored tights!) and ready to put on their modeling faces. I love capturing each child individually before doing family shots as this allows them to get to know me and relax a bit in front of the camera. These four had no problems with the camera at all.

All of them had such stories to tell with their eyes, but especially Damali (2nd photo). This was her fierce, supermodel look and I love it.

I love that Dafina & Dinari have the same smile, with the teeth clinched together. What five year old does not do that?

I love sibling shots that are fun and different. Thank you guys for being willing participants on a day when you wanted to get to soccer practice!

Something spooky is going on, my last three sessions have been with families that have last names starting with the letter S. This is the last of the three and nothing short of beautiful. I had a blast hanging out with this family last Sunday evening. We did some jumping photos of the girls at the very end to reenact a photo of mom at the age of 10. We may not have gotten exactly but I must say I love the last photo I included.

I knew immediately that I was going to love this photo. I feel the love between these sisters and they are just gorgeous!

Sweet Charlotte is going to be spoiled. She is the baby girl with two older brothers. I know exactly how she feels and she will definitely be princess of the household! Her brothers adore her as you can see by the photo of the three of them. Calen, I’m bummed that we didn’t get any individual photos of you. Next time!

Can you guess what Miss Charlotte is going to be for Halloween?

I snapped a few shots of Matthew (2) while mom was nursing. For some reason he was all about the color black that day. He was going to a black birthday, black cars, etc. He loves cars and was explaining the sounds they make – adorable I tell ya!
